Data sources
For market-traded currency we prefer a game publisher's own public API wherever one exists; where it doesn't, we say so plainly rather than implying a level of authority the data doesn't have. For store currencies, the price is simply the publisher's official list price.
- EVE Online (ISK/PLEX): CCP Games' public ESI market endpoint for the Global PLEX Market — a single unified market CCP introduced in 2023 that pools all PLEX trades regardless of station or region. First-party, official.
- Albion Online (Gold/Silver): The Albion Online Data Project (AODP), a community-run project that aggregates market data voluntarily shared by players' game clients. This is not an official Sandbox Interactive API — Sandbox Interactive has publicly said it doesn't object to it, but it's third-party, crowdsourced data, not a first-party feed. We track the Europe server.
- Guild Wars 2 (Gems/Gold): ArenaNet's official, keyless public API (v2/commerce/exchange/gems), which publishes the first-party Gem↔Gold exchange rate. First-party, official.
- Old School RuneScape (Bonds/GP): The OSRS Wiki's public price API (prices.runescape.wiki), which mirrors the live Grand Exchange. Community-maintained but sourced from Jagex's game data; we use the midpoint of the buy/sell spread as the reference price.
- Store currencies (Robux, V-Bucks, Minecoins, …): official publisher list prices, taken from each publisher's store page and recorded on the individual currency pages with a "last checked" date. These are fixed prices rather than market data, so there's no hourly pipeline behind them.
Update frequency
Scheduled jobs fetch new prices on an hourly cadence (offset by a few minutes per asset) and store them so we can chart trends over time. Pages are statically regenerated on the same hourly cadence, so there can be up to a one-hour lag between a market move and it appearing here.
USD conversion
Where we show a USD equivalent, we combine the in-game market price with the relevant publisher's official store price for the real-money item.
- EVE Online: CCP's PLEX bundle pricing, 500 PLEX / $19.99, checked 2026-06-01.
- Guild Wars 2: ArenaNet's official Gem store rate, 800 Gems / $10, checked 2026-08-05.
- Old School RuneScape: Jagex's official Bond price, $7.99 per Bond, checked 2026-08-05.
- Albion Online: unverified — our current constant (800 Gold / $4.95) comes from a player forum post, not a direct check of Sandbox Interactive's store page. Treat the USD figure on the Albion page as a rough estimate until we confirm it directly.
We manually re-check official store rates periodically rather than scraping them live, since publisher store pricing changes rarely and isn't exposed via a clean public endpoint.
What this site is not
We don't broker trades, sell in-game currency, or accept payment to feature a game more prominently. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher named on this site.
Data reuse
The price figures on this site are free to reference, quote, or link to, with attribution back to gamehomehub.com. The underlying game data and store prices belong to the respective publishers — we're republishing publicly available pricing, not claiming ownership of it.
