Dead by Daylight · official store currency
Auric Cells to USD — how much is Auric Cells worth?
Auric Cells are the premium currency of Behaviour Interactive's Dead by Daylight. They buy cosmetics from the store and the paid Rift pass track each season. Chapters (new killers and survivors) are bought with a separate currency, Iridescent Shards, earned by playing — so Auric Cells are almost entirely a cosmetic spend.

Is Auric Cells worth buying?
DbD's paid content is cosmetics and the Rift pass, and nothing purchasable with Cells grants gameplay advantage. The Rift pass (~1,000 Cells) refunds about a third of its cost in Cells and Shards if completed, so it's the efficient purchase for players who play every season. Store cosmetics are priced per-outfit and only worth it if you main the character.
Chapters aren't bought with Cells
Dead by Daylight splits its economy in an unusual way: killers, survivors, and chapters are bought with real money or the earn-in-game Iridescent Shards, while Auric Cells pay for cosmetics and the Rift pass only. That means Cells are a strictly cosmetic currency — no gameplay is locked behind them — which makes the 'is it worth buying' question simpler than in most games: it's always optional, and the Rift pass is the only spend that gives back.
